Today, we are going to focus on the outdoor spaces of the Hampton Designer Showhouse. The Parkhotel is a rather new building with spacious, friendly rooms in the Franconian lake district. We had a cosy suite of rooms consisting of a large living room, a bedroom and a large, elegant bathroom. The food in the restaurant "Chicoree" was fabulous regardless of whether we ate à la carte or the proposed menue.

This year’s Showhouse takes place in a magnificent shingle style home located at 2148 Scuttle Hole Road in Bridgehampton, that has been generously donated by Barsalin Building & Design. Calling all design lovers, The Hampton Designer Showhouse, the showcase for America’s premier design talent has returned this summer to Bridgehampton. This annual Showhouse is always one of my favorite events of the high season. Proceeds benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, Southampton. The Showhouse announced that Traditional Home magazine is the 2018 Presenting Sponsor, Hamptons Purist is the 2018 Regional Magazine Sponsor, and Kohler Co. is the 2018 Design Sponsor. Mario Buatta is the Honorary Showhouse Chairman.

Additionally, the Showhouse will be open to the public Sunday, July 22 through Labor Day, Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. Children six and under, infants, strollers and pets are not admitted in the Showhouse. I am amazed at the coffee with a built in ice bucket. Imagine lounging on this large stone patio with several seating areas anchored with beautiful outdoor rugs. The 2018 Hampton Designer Showhouse is a newly constructed 8,200 square foot home built by Barsalin Building and Designand is located in Bridgehampton, New York. This year, the funds raised from the showhouse will benefitStony Brook Southampton Hospital.
Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton are the Honorary Design Co-Chairmen. Check out my exclusive photo shoot from the day below.. The location is great and the included breakfast is quite good. As for the beds...they are quite stiff and not comfortable at all.

Above, the spacious and airy entryway was beautifully decorated by Sea Green Designs LLC. One of the other downstairs spaces was designed by Sam Ciardi of Samuel Robert Signature Spaces, who was the only designer present in his room at the time when I visited. It was great to meet Sam – he was super friendly and funny and I always love to hear some of the stories behind the creation of the room.
Proceeds benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Design by Lisa Friedman Design who specializes in high-end residential interiors. She has transformed the space into a serene setting for any Hamptons Dining party with a neutral palette of greys.
The spa area features a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, a steam room, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. The only downside is that the spa area is rather small for the number of guests the hotel can accomodate. We were lucky that the hotel was not fully booked when we were there. But even then we had sometimes trouble to find free loungers.
If you find yourself out that way this summer I hope you’ll visit – the designers did an amazing job this year and I had a blast photographing it. The home features beautiful materials throughout such as gray rift oak cabinetry in the kitchen and the most up-to-date electronic plumbing systems from Kohler in the Master Baths. The Showhouse designers have used this extraordinary canvas to exhibit the latest interior design trends from modern to nautical. Shelley, I really enjoyed these outdoor spaces, they are beautiful. The Hampton Designer Showhouse, now in its eighteenth year, features over 20 top interior designers from the Hamptons, New York City and nationwide.

Over 20 top interior designers participated in this year’s showhouse. The 2018 Hampton Designer Showhouse is open through Labor Day and proceeds benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
Spa is self-serve but costs; the pool doesn't cost extra but no towels. However, it is pretty with jets and a tree/cave decor. Then look no further than Parkhotel Altmuehltal, a family-friendly hotel that brings the best of Gunzenhausen to your doorstep.
Clean & tidy rooms however electric kettle is missing and no tea or coffee inside the room. I will recommend to stay here to have taste of German Hospitality. We’re sure you’ll enjoy your stay at Parkhotel Altmuehltal as you experience everything Gunzenhausen has to offer. Vintage shutters from Marseille with climbing bouganvillea served as a beautiful backdrop.
Black and white striped cushions mixed with vibrant pillows gave a glamorous old Hollywood feel to the space. Courtney Interiors & Designalso partnered withLloyd Flanders. Also designed by The Rinfret Groupfor Lloyd Flanders, the patio was another alluring space where they continued to wow us with their choice of fabrics.
